Licensure renewal & Contact Units
Vegas PBS offers affordable, high-quality online courses facilitated by expert instructors, with monthly start dates designed to support your ongoing professional growth.
The essentials
- Enroll in all courses through this site. Only the instructor-moderated courses offered here are approved for NDOE renewal hours and CCSD Contact Units.
- Courses start on the 10th of every month, run one month, and provide up to 25 clock hours.
- Score 70% or higher on the first attempt of the final exam.
- We strongly suggest taking no more than four courses at one time.
CCSD Contact Units
Licensed employees in the Clark County School District may accrue Contact Units (CUs) for salary advancement by successfully completing courses that relate to their position or license, as determined solely by the CCSD Professional Growth System (PGS) Department, not Vegas PBS.
Submit your auto-generated certificate and time tracking document from the Student Portal to the Enterprise Learning Management System (ELMS).

NDOE license renewal
Educators holding licenses through the Nevada Department of Education may use Vegas PBS Professional Development courses to satisfy license renewal requirements. Submit your certificate and time tracking document from the Student Portal to NDOE (OPAL).
For the number of hours you need or guidance on courses for your license, contact the NDOE.
Time tracking
Since the August 2020 sessions, 25 hours are no longer automatically shown on the certificate of completion. All time in the course is logged automatically, and that time, up to 25 hours, is what gets reported. You are responsible for making sure you meet the hours needed for re-licensure and CUs.
